DIANA: Myra Gillis had 37 doilies when she got married and I'm determined to have at least as many as she had.

ANNE: I suppose it would be impossible to keep house with only 36 doilies.

So what is the Anne of Green Gables doily challenge.. My friend Anna started it.. You can see her blog entry here . She and I both love doilies and Anne of Green Gables.. When I saw her post about the challenge I had to join in on the fun.. Yes, doilies are fun.. I think it is great fun to crochet a doily, to find a doily at a garage sale or a thrift store.. These I consider treasures.. So the goal is to have more than 37 doilies. As Anne said- "It would be impossible to keep house with only 36 doilies." And if 37 is good then more than 37 would be even better. Anything to help me to be a better housekeeper... I have a lot of doilies..The doilies can come from anywhere and the count cannot include doilies that will be leaving my home to bless someone else's home. That would defeat the purpose of the challenge.

I will be adding more all the time so keep checking back..
